With a spirit of becoming!

"Just Play 20" is a motto/mantra of authors, artists, activists and co-alchemists in life Maurice L. Monette and Jeff Jackson (sometimes writing as J. Lynn Jackson).

JustPlay20.com is where we share with others what we're creating (baked or half-baked), why we're creating, and who we hope to benefit beyond ourselves.

Jeff might share something from one of his latest plays or musings from his journal. Maurice might share a drawing, a painting or an essay. Both might share something worked on together. You might share your thoughts; what you share just might influence our creative process.

JustPlay20 spells out as...

JUST: We aim for social, environmental and economic justice ...

  PLAY: ... as we playfully create for and contribute to community ...

    20: ... now, with a well-seasoned "spirit of becoming" (like in our 20s). 

Now that we are both "retired" from our careers with non-profits (education, health, human rights, labor, philanthropy, etc.), we want to have a vehicle to share what we create as we "jubilate" (the Spanish word for "retire").  

JustPlay20.com is the latest recreation, in whole or part, of what we've stood for, played with and/or created over the years: The Vallarta Institute, Galeria HabanaVallarta, Soul Work and a whole mix of mission-driven work with non-profits in the US and, for the better part of 17 years, in Latin America.
